One of the largest and most pleasant parks is Central Park where there are a number of museums. Frick Museum and the famous Metropolitan Museum are on the territory of Central Park. For a long time New York specialized in giving visitors a good time at its theatres, restaurants, night clubs, sporting arenas and therefore has a large hotel industry. 6. Among the inhabitants of New York one can meet people of almost all nations. The population of the city numbers about 16 million. The citizens speak 75 different languages. 7. The architecture of New York with its skyscrapers, bridges, wide motor parkways is a perfect exhibit of the American ability to apply imagination to the solution of an engineering problem. You get impressed to look at the enormous skyscrapers that rise up like great cliffs. From the top of the Empire State Building (102 stories) you can have a good view of the Statue of Liberty and the whole New York City.
