What is charity today? We often find this word on television and in other mass media. It is mainly connected with the activity of various rich people giving their money to help needy people. Among them are orphans and people with disabilities.
There is also a question in my mind whether charity is an activity of wealthy people. Of course not! Let’s think of the word charity. Its direct meaning is to create a good thing. Not only the strong people of the world do good. The welfare of society and its moral health depend primarily on us. We must be ready to bring good to our close people who need help. Under the closest people I understand not only relatives and close friends, but people, in general, who live in my country.
First of all, we should begin to do good from our mother and father, brother and sister, grandparents and from our native home. First, it is our duty to take care of them. Secondly, in this way children learn how to bring people favour. Thus, doing good things we will be able to become full members of society in the future. And when we get into the adult life we will be able to do good deeds to simply unfamiliar people.
